We have arranged for a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe Shrine for Monday July 31, 2023. We will leave at 7 a.m. on a Lamer’s Bus from Lake Mills to arrive in La Crosse, WI by 10. Mass at 11am by Cardinal Burke followed by time to greet Cardinal Burke. There will be lunch at 12:45pm included in the price of the trip. There will be time to tour the shrine and visit the gift shop. How many people can nearly 300 pounds of corned beef feed?  You can find out on March 19th at the St Patrick’s Dinner!  The Parish Life Committee will be offering a pre-sale for tickets to the St Patrick’s Dinner after masses on Sunday March 12th and before Religious Education Classes on Wednesday March 15th.  The ticket prices are $14/adult, $7 for children ages 6-12 and free for anyone 5 and under.  These tickets can be used for carry-out meals as well.  The dinner is set for 11:30 to 1pm on Sunday March 19th.   If you have any questions, please contact Matt Chadwick at (608) 259-6204.

The Arts Alliance of Greater Lake Mills will be hosting their annual Souper Bowl in the Saint Francis Xaiver Parish Center on February 5, 2023, from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. This is a fundraiser to tackle hunger in our community. There will be 250 decorated bowls available to fill with your choice of delicious soup and you get to keep the bowl! If you’ve ever wanted to go to the Knickerbocker Ice Festival but don’t know how to break the ice with people, we have the event for you! Saint Gabriel the Archangel Parish is sponsoring an Ice Sculpture carving on Saturday, February 4th. Don’t spend that Saturday ice-olated, come and chill with your fellow parishioners in Commons Park! Stop by the carving to socialize, take pictures, and maybe hand out cookies to our community. We will be starting a 7-week Scripture study at Saint Gabriel Parish on Monday, January 9th beginning at 6:00 PM. We will start with conversation over soup. Then we will focus on the Gospel of Matthew. Our intent is to open the texts as well as resources available within our Bibles. We will end by 7:30 PM each night. Our facilitator and leader will be Dr. Kate Wiskus, a member of our parish as well as a retired seminary professor.
